Ik baalde er zo van dat ik m’n zelfgenaaide kleding maar niet goed passend kreeg.<\/p>\n

Na een aantal pogingen een goeie paspop te kopen, te maken of \u00fcberhaupt te vinden, bleef het maar knagen.<\/p>\n

En met alle technische 3D-ontwikkelingen van nu dacht ik: “Daar moet toch iets mogelijk zijn?”.<\/p>\n

Er zijn ook zeker dingen mogelijk, maar het kost tijd, energie en geld. Het is niet in een dag gefixt, ”maar dan heb je ook wat”\ud83d\ude03.<\/p>\n

Dus ik ben op zoek gegaan naar een oplossing die voor mij redelijk betaalbaar en haalbaar zou zijn. Ik wilde eigenlijk ”gewoon”, net zoals iedereen die met kleding maken bezig is: een replica van mezelf. En op deze website deel ik graag met je, hoe ik dat heb aangepakt.<\/p>\n

Dit is geen webshop of service waar je een paspop op maat kunt kopen. Dit is een roadmap, uitleg, stappenplan, werkinstructie, tutorial, procesbeschrijving, etc. over hoe je het kunt aanpakken om je eigen paspop op maat te regelen.<\/p>\n

Ik heb m’n plan van aanpak uitgesplitst in de verschillende fasen en leg daarbij uit hoe je elke fase kunt voorbereiden en organiseren.<\/p>\n

Nogmaals, het is niet 1-2-3 gemaakt. Het kost tijd, geld, aandacht, energie en uitzoekwerk. Maar voor dit laatste, heb ik hier deze website gemaakt. Daarmee help ik je graag een stuk op weg.<\/p>\n

3D scan voor STL-file<\/h4>\n

STL staat voor STereoLithografie. Ook wordt het wel Surface Tessellation Language of Standard Triangle Language genoemd. Dat is de benaming voor de technische tekening die ontstaat wanneer je met een 3D-scanner een opname maakt. Deze tekening moet zodanig accuraat zijn, dat je lichaamsvormen goed overkomen voor je paspop. Je hebt iemand nodig die de scan van jou maakt. Je kunt dit niet zelf doen.<\/p>\n

Er zijn bedrijven die bijvoorbeeld zwangerschapsbeeldjes, bruidtaarttoppers of andere gepersonaliseerde sculpturen of figurines maken.<\/p>\n

Daarnaast zijn er ook natuurlijk locale 3D-werkplaatsen waar technische hobbyisten zijn. Sommige mensen zijn zelfs heel behendig met hun eigen mobiele telefoon of tablet met een speciale app. Er zijn veel plekken waar je de 3D-scan kunt laten maken en bewerken. Vraag vooral eerst veel rond. Ik heb een template-mail gemaakt, zodat je de juiste vragen kunt stellen om te informeren.<\/p>\n

1:1 Torso van piepschuim<\/h4>\n

Je hebt het vast wel eens gezien. Op een beurs, bij een concert, of in een winkel: uitvergrote figuren, letters of objecten van piepschuim. Vaak zijn ze dan gekleurd of beschilderd met het logo. Maar de bedrijven die zoiets kunnen maken, kunnen ook jouw torso maken. Daarvoor hebben ze een goeie bovengenoemde 3D STL-file nodig. Dit bestand gebruiken ze om in EPS (Expanded PolyStyreen, ook wel piepschuim of tempex) te kunnen contoursnijden, foamcarven en\/of CNC-frezen.<\/p>\n

Om de pop uiteindelijk helemaal goed te laten functioneren als paspop, moet deze op een standaard. Ook moet (hoeft niet, maar is aan te raden) een hoes om de pop, zodat deze niet teveel beschadigt door het vaak prikken van spelden. Stof beschermt het piepschuim. Ook moeten de buizen van de standaard goed in elkaar passen, om niet te wiebelen.<\/p>\n

Hoeveel laagjes je ook aanbrengt, de verhoudingen kloppen niet. Ook blijft de pop te zacht om de stof goed te kunnen spelden en draperen.<\/p>\n

Deze methode zorgt er voor dat alle vetjes en rolletjes worden geplet en ingesnoerd. En de dikke laag van stof en (duct of gips)tape zorgt ook voor onjuiste maten en pasvorm.<\/p>\n

Zelfs met de extra aanpassingen van de ‘Is that me that I see?’-PDF-guide van komudesigns kreeg ik de verhoudingen van deze dress form maar niet kloppend.<\/p>\n

Deze bedrijven hebben me op het idee gebracht van de 3D-scan en foamcarving. De eerste 2 zijn een full service bedrijf en alleen beschikbaar in de USA en Canada. Mimiquins werkt vanuit het VK met cardboard.<\/p>\n
